Physician 360 CEO Angela Fusaro was recently interviewed by BBC World Service, where she spoke about the concept of Physician 360 along with the benefits of telemedicine services. The interview hopes to provide clarity on the process of telemedicine and how it is currently being integrated into the healthcare space.
In the interview, Fusaro touched on the goal of Physician 360 to turn local pharmacies into the equivalency of urgent care.
“[Physician 360 provides] the pharmacy customers with access to a telemedicine platform and with a point of care testing so that they can really experience a comprehensive virtual clinic visit that is comparable to what they would have experienced in-person,” she said.
While highlighting the pros of telemedicine services, Fusaro explains in the interview that, “With the need for safe access to care, decreasing exposure and contagion, access is probably top of the list as far as what we gain through telemedicine and with technology evolving so quickly you’re able to with the use of logic, predictive analytics and peripherals to achieve the same level of clinical evaluation as you would have in person.”
