myphysician360 is closely following all updates to the availability of testing for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by the SArS-COV-2 virus. IN the state of Georgia, drive-through testing is NOW AVAILABLE! myphysician360 board-certified physicians can recommend you for testing if your symptoms warrant it.
One of the biggest hurdles currently in the fight against coronavirus is increasing the options for testing so that we can more effectively quarantine and halt the spread of the virus. Twenty-five drive-through testing facilities are available throughout Georgia and myphysician360 is working to immediately integrate their usage with our telemedicine services.
Drive-through testing facilities will not provide immediate test results to a person with symptoms. The facility will send your specimen to a remote lab for analysis and you will be notified of the results within 1-2 days. These facilities will provide significant expansion in the availability of COVID-19 testing for patients, free of charge, with a doctor’s examination and recommendation. They will not be open to the public for just anyone presenting with symptoms. Once your doctor orders the test, the testing facility will contact you to set up an appointment between 8AM and 8PM at one of the available locations.
