As Coronavirus continues to wreak havoc on the United States, doctors, nurses, and other frontline healthcare workers

Daily Mail recently published an article on two emergency doctors who are currently in critical condition after being infected with COVID-19, urging everyone to take the necessary precautions. The article also called into question whether or not the supply chain for equipment and the ER and ICU capacity will be able to handle new patients if the number of COVID cases continues to grow at this current rate.

This article pulls from myphysician360 CEO Angela Fusaro’s interview in The New York Times to go into more detail on the dangers that healthcare professionals face every day during this pandemic.

The article states:

“Dr. Angela Fusaro, an emergency doctor in Atlanta, said doctors and nurses are at risk of catching COVID-19 due to their proximity to infected patients.

She told the Times: ‘Things that might be necessary to stabilize their [patients’] life are pretty intimate. If you have to put in a breathing tube, you are going to be right up against them. You can’t practice that type of medicine from afar.’”
